2023 will always be a special year for me personally as it marks the beginning of my journey as the CEO of OPMS. This has been a dream come true.
Thank you Colin, all of You and of course our wonderful Team for the support and encouragement.
2023 has also been a significant Year for OPMS technologically.
We have been in the scene for quite some time, which provides us with the understanding of your business and requirements that not many other software providers have. On the other hand, technology keeps developing at a rapid pace which requires constant modernization to continue moving with the times.
Today, our direction is very clear. Our technological golden rules are:
- The majority of the new features are developed in Web using React so that features can be used either via OPMS Desktop application or Web Portal.
- Every new feature, even though developed in Web, is integrated also into OPMS Desktop Application for a seamless experience.
- Every new feature uses REST API endpoints to make Creating, Reading, Updating, Deleting data consistent, fast and available for external applications. The endpoints are already available for use by third party applications on request.
Additionally, we have implemented significant process enhancements, such as Grafana dashboards to actively keep an eye on and be alerted of any data abnormalities and performance metrics.
We strive to be a step ahead from you so that we know sooner than you if something has gone wrong.
In terms of the new features, our focus has been on Employee Self Service via Web. Our goal is to reduce the administrative burden as much as possible with allowing employees to contribute to their data and accept or decline the arrangements made for them.
Here’s my pick of the TOP 3 new features introduced in 2023:
- Electronic signing built into OPMS reduces admin burden and cost of using other digital signing tools
- Electronic Forms linked to site’s training matrixes allows automating the completion of inductions, declarations and any other electronic forms you can imagine
- Job Allocations can be published for employees to accept via Web Portal. This reduces the manual communication required and provides a clear visibility in Roster of which allocations have been accepted
We will start the 2024 with:
- Enhanced registration process and a Job Board that can be published on your website
- Suggestion of the best candidates
- Enhancements to project specific training requirements
